Finish rate
The share of a fighter's wins that came by knockout, technical knockout or submission rather than on the scorecards.
Finishes are the outcome a fighter controls completely. A high finish rate says the fighter can end fights, which matters for betting markets on method of victory and for matchmaking.
get_leaders ranks it over a fighter's UFC wins only; get_fighter breaks the record down by method in both directions.
The common mistake
Finish rate falls as competition gets tougher. A prospect finishing everyone on the early prelims is not the same as a contender doing it.
